Though the last bank holiday of August feels like the end of summer and back to school, Bristol has a way to make it a celebration, rather than a reason to be melancholy: The Old Duke Jazz Festival.

Held on GWS's doorstep, the festival takes place at (or outside) the one of Bristol's best small music venues offering live jazz every night of the week, the Old Duke (as in Ellington) pub on King Street.

This year, there was a fantastic atmosphere as the sun shone and all kinds of different bands played, from the Louisiana sounds of Flash Harry to the three-piece blues band lead by Eddie Martin.

Here are some pictures of GWS's visit to the festival (the rest can be found on FacebookFlickr & on our website).

A big thanks to the organisers!
