The GWS team are pleased to announce the launch of a new website for Midas Property School, who have also been blogging over at Exploits of a Professional Property Developer. They have also been featured in the national media.

We also launched a new website this week for Agem Electrical, a Bristol-based company offering domestic, commercial and industrial installations.

Here are our top stories this week:

Social media news

Our latest blog posts looked at why you should comment on blogs, and the key principles to keep in mind when doing so. We found these recommendations for blog commenting as a marketing strategy really useful – have you had any success?

What do you ‘like’ on Facebook? Chris Brogan conducts a survey into the most compelling ‘Fan’ pages on the site. We were quite surprised by the results – Debt Wise, The Pampered Chef and Bigelow Tea all get the thumbs up. Have you come across any impressive ‘Fan’ pages?

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg made a guest appearance alongside The Social Network star Jesse Eisenberg on Saturday Night Live this week, proving that he really does have a sense of humour (check out these clips). When asked what he thought of The Social Network, he said that he found it...“interesting”.

How can you use social data to grow your business? Social media expert Peter Wylie lists five ways to use social network data to expand your reach and sales – including social listening and strategic forecasting.

Design news

Is it time to redesign your website? Josh Davis reveals the questions you should be asking in order to get the most useful feedback. The bottom line, he says, is that your website should be something you’re proud of: “Think of it as your online “storefront” that will either persuade or dissuade potential and existing customers to or from engaging in a relationship with your business.”

Another great find from @swissmiss – ‘The Bermuda Triangle of Productivity’ by Fuchsia Macaree. Can you relate to it? Which points to the triangle would you replace, and what would you add?

According to the Anthony Robbins blog, people are awesome. Period. Having watched this video, we're inclined to agree.
